DR. PHIL LOOKING FOR MOMS RETURNING TO WORK

We're beginning a new season of television shows here at DR. PHIL and would like to talk to moms who feel overwhelmed or stressed out about having to return to work. RUNCALC iPHONE APP FOR RUNNERS

RunCalc is a quick and easy running calculator to use before or after workouts and races. With RunCalc you can calculate time, distance and pace/speed for your runs. It is perfect for runners at all levels…you can figure out the pace you ran in a race or workout, calculate split times for track workouts, or see how long it will take to run a distance at a certain pace…all quickly and easily. It also supports treadmill runners with an option to show pace in MPH or KPH.

WANT TO KNOW YOUR RACE PACE?

Race Pace is a race time predictor for runners.  Similar to online Riegel or McMillian calculators, with Race Pace you enter your best time for a race distance, then it will estimate your finish times for up to 20 other distances (from 200m to 50 miles). Use it to predict from a time trial whether that Boston Qualifier is in reach, or see what you might run in a 10K based on your latest 5K time. Race Pace will also show you training paces that can be adjusted to your particular training plan…and it will generate splits for your next track workout, so you don’t have to do the math in your head to figure out if those 400 repeats at 5K pace should be 1:49 or 1:52!  All of your predicted race times, track splits, and training paces can be emailed to your coach, yourself, or friends with the touch of a button.

THING-A-MA-JIG iPHONE / iPOD APP TO KEEP KIDS HAPPY

This was sent by a seeMOMMYrun member.  She found a cool iPhone/iPod touch app folks who want to keep their kids occupied with something fun and silly.  Its a kind of sliding mix and match activity called Slide-A-Ma-Jig with all these funny characters and their body parts can be switched out, plus they have different things on their heads like hats or fish or upside down cereal bowls and a bunch of different backgrounds...you just actually have to see it to totally get it.
