 subject: "Angry 2yr old in jogger"

From Message Rebecca K. [TN] October 16, 2009 10:18 AM Recently my 2yr old has started protesting as soon as we pull into the park. Saying - "no - inna go!" My routine is M/W/F to meet my brother at the local 1mile loop at a park to walk for an hour. H. used to love it, but lately he would start to protest everytime we passed the car. Then it was a whiney last 1/2 hour, and now, he just "cries" the whole time. HELP! I need this time outside, not to mention the exercise. What do you guys do to keep you little ones entertained? Then reward him with playground, etc. afterwards (and tell him about his reward before you start). Purchase a new doodle pad toy or something special for entertaining him in the stroller. Hate to admit it, but I used to have to bribe my girls with dum-dum lollipops EVERY time. And plenty of other snacks. They got through the rough period and he will too!! Dorothy T. My track is around a playground and as soon as we get close to it she throws herself all around in the stroller and begins to throw her toys, sippee cup, and snacks out. Or she`ll take her shoes off. So it throws me off balance or I have to stop and pick all her stuff up...Very frustrating. and I can`t let her play on her own while I run because she is still a little too young, even though I would be able to see her the whole time, I couldn`t get there fast enough if she did something dangerous. I think I am going to have to get my 3 miles in on the road prior to arriving to the park. Then when we get there I can let her play. register and/or login to post and reply
