Fit Families Running Festival

The 2007 inaugral Fit Families 5K Running Festival was a big success. We had nearly 400 runners and were the largest event of the City of Fairfax Trails Day celebration. The City has asked us to be their showcase event this year!
DATE/TIME:	Saturday, June 7, 2008 1-mile Kids Fun Run starts 8:00am 5K Run/Walk starts 8:30am

REGISTRATION:	Online registration closes at noon on June 6, 2008. Race Day register from 6:30am to 8:00am. OR PRINT A REGISTRATION FORM HERE - then mail it in. *We highly recommend NOT waiting until race day to register. Last year's lines were long!
FEES:	$20 per person for the 5K. $15 per person for the 1-mile fun run.
PACKET PICKUP:	Packet Pickup at the new PACERS in downtown Fairfax on Friday, June 6th from 5pm to 8:00pm or pickup your packet before 8am on race day. You CAN register at packet pickup. PRINT THE REGISTRATION FORM HERE.
RACE COURSE:	The course has completely changed from last year's course. It is a figure eight course in order to avoid the hills of Fairfax. Part trail and part street. Well-marked course and race managed by PACERS. View course map here.
AWARDS:	5K awards to for both men and women in the following categories: Ages 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, over 60. 1-mile awards to first 3 finishers.
TRAILS DAY ACTIVITIES:	Trails Day festivities are being held at Van Dyck Park during and after the Fit Families race. Trails Day features shopping at vendor booths, skate park exhibition, kids activities, music, food/drink, and much more.
NEW THIS YEAR:	New course, new race course and finish line management, and plenty more entertainment to make this a true family event.
