Carla - I'm with you. I just can't wrap my head around running in a skirt. BUT everyone that wears them swears they're the best! How 'bout if you go buy one I'll go buy one?! We can start our own 'running skirt vigin support group' ;)

I have a Brooks - which has a small pocket on the spandex leg part, then TWO pockets on the skirt part. Nearly EVERY long distance race I run, I where my skirt, so I don't have to carry a belt. Fits my key, my gu packets and a 10oz water bottle....comfortably.

I was wearing one for a while and I like the idea, but the shorts were too flimsy and they rode up. Maybe I need to try again?

I love mine! Skirt Sports is the original creator of running skirts...and then all the big companies jumped on the bandwagon. Check them out online. I have the Marathon girl skirt in two colors but I'm wanting the Gym girl one. The marathon skirt has a "spank" panty but the gym one has shorts. And their bike skirt is on my "to buy" list!

I have tried lots of different skirts. I soooooo much prefer them to shorts. My favorite by far is the skirt sports too. The fabric is amazing. They also have a clearance section online. Try the gym girl.

I love my Gym Girl from Skirt Sports. The Marathon Girl is okay, too, but I definitely prefer the shorts underneath and not just the ittybitty spanky. I also have a C9 from Target that's just okay -- the shorts are more like volleyball shorts/"boy shorts" undies length, so not as good as the Gym Girl.
I feel fun, flirty, and FAST in my skirt and that makes me smile when I run!
I have a Nike running skirt that I love and often wear for races too.
LOVE'EM.
But does require antifriction cream in the inner thigh area (at least for me).
